Do we need to learn AI if Optimus Gen 4 will be out soon?

linkedin twitter facebook   Artificial Intelligence
Optimus Gen 4 is going to be $20,000, which is cheaper than any employee. (One-time cost also not annual salary).  The robot will be able to do the work of anyone in a company and should be out by next year. I am all about learning AI and using it, but when do we stop and look at what we are learning? How long will we have this job? What skills or jobs will be in the future that a robot can't do?

I am skeptical that any near term robot will possess the EQ needed to succeed in any significant interpersonal work. Until projects are 100% automated, people will want to work with and be led by other people.

Geraldine, I agree with Kiron’s perspective. Personally, I believe human involvement and human-led projects, will remain crucial for the foreseeable future.

The key point here is: AI is a board term. The model that supports what you put in your question is generative AI which is just a subset of AI.
