Volunteering early in my career played a big role in helping me build leadership skills and grow a strong network within the project management community. I'd highly recommend checking out your local PMI chapter, not only for the great networking opportunities but also to stay connected with what’s happening in your industry. If you have the time, consider volunteering with them too; it’s a great way to gain experience, meet mentors, and get more involved in the profession.
