Hello PM community! My name is Eileen Mace and I am a Project Manager in the ATM & Cash organization (PMO team) within Capital One’s bank. My PMO is looking to stand up an enterprise-wise Project Mgmt accreditation program. We are learning that there are all sorts of PMOs with tools and templates and phases, yet no one standard onboarding for project managers. Does anyone work in an organization with a type of internal project management certification? (I know Oracle does, but I’m having a hard time finding a POC!). Any examples or advice would be appreciated, happy to chat more also.

Eileen -

IBM has (or at least used to have) an internal PM certification program in its services division. And when I worked with TD Bank in their EPMO, we had a cross-enterprise career ladder-based job family for all the PM-related roles.

Rather than re-invent the wheel, I'd suggest looking at resources such as PMI's Competency Development Framework.
