What are the advantages and disadvantages of prioritising and testing showstoppers only as opposed to testing ALL test scripts during UAT if pressed on time? what risk mitigation measures can be deployed if short-cuts are deployed.

I'm not sure I m understanding this fully. Are you already part way through UAT and at the stage where you are retesting fixes? If so what testing tools are you using for regression packs? Or do you mean you haven't started yet and are thinking of designing your whole UAT around only testing the critical functionality?
