Hi everyone,
I’m a regular blog contributor here on ProjectManagement.com, and as of today (May 12), I’ve noticed that the statistics for my recent posts are still not visible on the platform.
I’m wondering if this is just a delay in the monthly update, or if there’s a broader technical issue.
Are other contributors experiencing the same situation?
Appreciate any insight from the community or the PMI support team.
Thanks in advance,
Luis BrancoCEO| Business Insight, Consultores de Gestão, LdªCarcavelos, Lisboa, Portugal
Hi Danielle Ritter Thank you again for your attention to this issue.
Unfortunately, the statistics still haven’t updated — even now, well into June, blog views remain unavailable for articles published since June 1.
I understand these things take time, but since the issue was officially acknowledged on May 28, I believe it’s fair to ask:
- Has the root cause been identified?
- Is there a timeline for resolution?
- Will authors be notified once the system is fully restored?
Transparency, once again, makes all the difference — both in the reporting system and in how communication flows with contributors.
I remain available to assist further if needed. Saving Changes...

I’d like to report a new anomaly affecting blog statistics this September.
On September 5, the page view counter for my blog dropped from 299 to 185, showing a negative variation of −114 views.
As of today (September 19), the platform still reflects this downward correction in the total count, and the counter has also remained unchanged since September 18 — which may point to another update delay.
This mirrors the same type of technical inconsistencies we previously discussed (May–June), involving retroactive corrections, caching issues, and missing data.
I’ve maintained a detailed daily log and can confirm this drop is not due to any manual error on my end.
Could you confirm whether this is part of an intentional adjustment, or if the technical issue has resurfaced?
Thank you again for your time and transparency.
Best regards,
Luis Branco

Hi Luis Branco - thank you for raising this to my attention. The team has looked at the systems to see if there is an issue with the data syncs and noted that there was one day (3 September) on which there was a small glitch, but that currently, data is syncing and no other days were showing any outages.
Can you please provide more insight into the issue that you are encountering? Screen captures would be helpful. If you have not already tried this, you may also want to see if there is a caching issue with your browser.

I’d like to clarify that the anomalies I encountered relate specifically to two concrete dates:
• 4 to 5 September – where the page views dropped unexpectedly from 299 to 185, despite confirmed activity.
• 18 to 19 September – where the page views remained unchanged at 1,013, with no variation recorded, even though there was ongoing engagement.
I began tracking the blog views on a daily basis starting on 5 September.
I have screen captures from 17, 18, and 19 September, which I’m happy to share if helpful.
These two anomalies appear unrelated to browser caching and point to potential inconsistencies in data syncing or reporting at the system level.
I’d appreciate it if this could be escalated for deeper technical analysis, and I remain available to provide any further details as needed.
Best regards,
Luis Branco

Hi Danielle Ritter Additionally, I’ve just verified that the view count has remained frozen at 1,013 for the second consecutive day (18 to 19 September), which confirms that the issue is still ongoing.
I’d appreciate it if this could be escalated for deeper technical analysis, and I remain available to provide any further details as needed.
Best regards,

Hi Danielle Ritter , thank you again for your attention.
I’d like to provide a documented update regarding the anomalies I’ve encountered.
They concern two specific cases:
• 4 to 5 September – the page views dropped unexpectedly from 299 to 185, despite confirmed activity.
• 18 to 20 September – the page view count remained unchanged at 1,013 for three consecutive days, even though I continued to publish and engage normally.
I started tracking the stats on a daily basis from 4 September onward. While I don’t have screenshots from the early days, I’ve compiled and organized dated screenshots from 17, 18, 19 and 20 September.
These anomalies appear unrelated to browser caching, and instead point to a potential issue in the system’s data syncing or reporting layer.
I must also express my deep concern and growing frustration with the lack of visible action or communication from the platform, especially considering that the view counter has now been frozen for three consecutive days.
As an active contributor who invests time and effort in producing high-quality content, I rely on the accuracy of platform metrics to understand engagement, assess impact, and continue improving.
I believe such situations deserve timely resolution and transparent follow-up and I respectfully ask for both.
I kindly ask that this be escalated for deeper technical review, and I remain available to provide any further clarification needed.
Best regards,
Luis Branco

Subject: Follow-up: Blog View Count Still Frozen – No Action Taken After 3 Days
I’m writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the ongoing issue with my blog’s page views, which I initially reported on 19 September and followed up with full documentation on Saturday, 20 September, including screenshots and detailed context.
As of today, 21 September, the total page views for September remain frozen at 1,013, with no update or correction since 18 September.
This makes it now four full days of confirmed data stagnation.
Furthermore, the previous anomaly on 5 September, where the system subtracted 114 views overnight, also remains unresolved.
It is simply inconceivable that after three days (with full documentation provided and the issue being publicly visible on the platform) no action has been taken and no explanation has been offered.
As a committed and consistent contributor, I rely on the platform’s data to understand performance, improve engagement, and demonstrate value to readers and clients.
The lack of transparency and responsiveness undermines trust in the platform, especially when contributors are encouraged to publish regularly and promote their work actively.
I kindly but firmly request a clear answer to the following:
- What action will be taken to resolve the current freeze and restore the missing views from 5 September?
- When can I expect a response or update from the technical team?
- Will there be any compensation or acknowledgment for the loss of visibility during these three days?
I remain available to clarify any aspect, but I do expect a reply (and action) without further delay.
Thank you,
Luis Branco

Hi Luis Branco – thank you for sharing the Google link with the dated screen capture images. We appreciate the time and effort to help document the issue that you are experiencing. The team has requested access to the folder and will review the files you shared as soon as possible to continue investigating the issues you reported.
Known Issue Identified: As of late Friday, the team did identify and resolve an issue related to the recent upgrade of the platform code base which seems to have begun impacting the community the evening of 18 September. While the data had appeared to be syncing when they checked initially, this issue appears to have disrupted the tasks that run overnight, including the data sync tasks, which would have resulted in the “freeze” you experienced starting on 18 September. The task was restored; however, it was paused over the weekend until our technical teams could connect this morning to restore the data.
This is being addressed now and I apologize for the inconvenience that resulted from this disruption.
Outstanding Issue: The data discrepancy you reported for 4-5 September is not related to the disruption of the overnight tasks following the code upgrade and we have not been able to replicate the issue that you are experiencing. We will need to finish exploring the data you provided in order to identify the issue and determine how to resolve.
To address the questions in your most recent post:
- What action will be taken to resolve the current freeze and restore the missing views from 5 September?
Answer: We have resolved the second issue of data syncing and are working to restore the data over the next 48 hours.
In order to resolve the first data discrepancy issue, we must first replicate the issue that you are experiencing and identify the underlying cause of the issue. Once we have done so, I can inform you on next steps for resolution. I cannot commit to a resolution approach or timeframe until the team has completed exploration of the reported issue.
- When can I expect a response or update from the technical team?
Answer: I will provide an update on behalf of the technical team by 5 pm ET, Wednesday, 24 September regarding progress against the action described in my previous answer.
- Will there be any compensation or acknowledgment for the loss of visibility during these four days?
Answer: I am not sure what you are requesting. Can you help me to understand the impact of your loss of visibility to the blog statistics so that I can better determine how we would provide compensation or acknowledgement?
Please note that ProjectManagement.com employees are typically available Monday through Friday and will endeavor to respond to community support requests within 1 to 2 business days.
Thank you for your detailed response and for the effort your technical team is making to restore data synchronization and investigate the anomalies I reported.
Regarding your question:
“What was the impact of the loss of visibility to the blog statistics?”
I would like to share the key points objectively:
1. Technical and operational impact
The interruption between September 18 and 22 prevented the continuous tracking of page views, which compromises real-time performance analysis and comparative metrics.
The unexplained reduction of 114 views on September 5 distorts the historical data and affects the accuracy of monthly dashboards.
2. Reputational impact
As an active author on ProjectManagement.com and a PMI-certified instructor, I rely on these statistics as part of my reporting, value proposition, and external validation of the content I provide.
A sudden and unexplained drop in visibility can easily be misinterpreted by third parties (clients, partners, community members) as a loss of engagement or impact, which does not reflect reality.
3. Impact on editorial strategy
I plan my articles, series, and content sharing based on weekly view performance and interaction trends.
A disruption lasting four consecutive days breaks that cycle and undermines decisions around scheduling, republishing, and thematic continuity.
Thank you again for your availability and transparency.
I look forward to the update promised for September 24.
Best regards,
Luis Branco
