Hi everyone,
I’m a regular blog contributor here on ProjectManagement.com, and as of today (May 12), I’ve noticed that the statistics for my recent posts are still not visible on the platform.
I’m wondering if this is just a delay in the monthly update, or if there’s a broader technical issue.
Are other contributors experiencing the same situation?
Appreciate any insight from the community or the PMI support team.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Luis – As promised, I am reaching out with an update on the data issues you reported.

Per the update I shared on 22 September, the missing data resulting from the overnight task disruption on 18 September were restored in a fix that the team deployed yesterday. Your blog stats should be syncing correctly at this time.

This fix also corrected the data discrepancy noted for 3 September. While the insights that you provided help us to understand how you are calculating your daily views, unfortunately they did not include screen captures that would have helped us to recreate the issue that you experienced. We do know that the data sync task for that evening showed an interruption. Though we cannot recreate the issue, we are confident that the data discrepancy has been resolved after re-running the task for the period in question.

I also appreciate your insight into the impact resulting from lack of visibility into your blog stats. As you are already aware, the disruption of the data sync task did not limit access or discovery of your blog content, so there should not have been any impact to audience reach. Please note that, unless you are sharing your data with others, the blog stats are not visible to third parties.

I will consider how we can help you to maintain your editorial planning cadence in the future should we encounter any similar disruptions moving forward. As I’m sure you can appreciate, the community is part of a complex technological ecosystem – all systems experience bugs periodically, so we appreciate your understanding and the role you play in reporting them.

Follow-up — Unable to Upload Images to Blog (“URL missing” error)

Hi Danielle Ritter,

Thank you again for your follow-up and for restoring the data sync issue affecting my blog statistics.
Everything seems to be working correctly now.

I would like to report a different technical problem that has appeared when trying to upload an image to a new blog post.
When selecting the file and clicking “Send to Server”, the system displays this message:

“The image source URL is missing.”

The upload window does not generate a valid image path, which prevents insertion into the post. It appears that the CKEditor image upload function may be disabled for my account or for blog authors in general.

Could you please check whether this module can be temporarily re-enabled, or if there is a new procedure for uploading images directly within ProjectManagement.com?

I have attached a few screenshots illustrating the issue.

Thank you once again for your assistance and for maintaining the platform’s reliability.

Kind regards,
Luis Branco

Hello, Danielle Ritter

I encountered an error while trying to save a post as a draft.

When I click “Save as Draft”, the following message appears:

Something unexpected happened…

The image upload worked successfully, but when I uploaded or pasted the text (originally written in Word/ChatGPT), the system displayed this error without further details.

I have already tried the following actions, but the issue persists:

Reloaded the page and cleared the browser cache

Logged out and back in

Tested on a different browser and device

Could you please help identify what is causing this issue or provide guidance on how to proceed?

Additional information:

Date and time of occurrence: Lisbon 14h57min 29/10/2025

Browser and version: Google Chrome

Operating system: Windows 10

Editor or post URL: https://www.projectmanagement.com/blog/blo....cfm?blogID=406

Action performed: Uploaded text and attempted to save as draft

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Best regards,
Luis Branco

Subject: Limitations in the blog editor (image upload and text formatting)

Message:

Hello, Danielle Ritter

I am trying to publish articles on my blog at ProjectManagement.com and have encountered some technical limitations:

I am unable to upload images directly into the article (the editor does not show an active upload option or rejects the upload attempt).

I cannot change the font style, color, or size beyond the basic options.

Could you please:

Confirm whether these limitations are general to the blog editor;Indicate if there is any account or profile setting that I should enable;

And clarify the recommended method for inserting images (external URL, internal library, or other)?

Thank you,

Luis Branco

Hi Luis Branco - Thanks for reaching out. While I believe that these limitations are general to the blog editor, I would like to confirm with our platform owner, who will have the most current insight into our editor functionality. She is out today and Monday, so I ask for your patience and hope to get back to you by Wednesday morning or sooner. Thank you!

Subject: Blog editor functionality - follow-up

Hello , Danielle Ritter

Thank you again for your support.

I completely understand these limitations may require some review time.

However, the current restriction has now lasted several days (Friday through Monday), preventing contributors from publishing new visual content, which impacts engagement and consistency on the platform.

Would it be possible to temporarily reactivate the previous editor configuration, or share a recommended workaround for inserting images while the update is being reviewed?

I truly appreciate your follow-up and attention to keep the publishing experience smooth for authors.

Best regards,

Luis Branco

Hi Luis Branco - I'm a little later than intended in my response, however, I've connected with our platform owner who advised that the team was able to track down the issue. When the new blog editor was released, the file upload function was blocked by our Cloudflare instance, which has been sensitive to these types of actions within the site.

This was corrected with a fix that went live this afternoon. Please test the file upload feature again, and if you encounter an issue with it, please report it by emailing us at [email protected]. Please be sure to include relevant screenshots and links so we can effectively troubleshoot the issue.

Per this posted guidance on community support and response times and expectations, we will be closing this thread and redirecting any further reported issues to follow this guidance. This will help us to more effectively track and respond to these types of reports.

Thank you for your support and have a great day.
