Hello, I wanted to find a PMP Exam tutor to assist me in final preparation for PMP Exam in 2 weeks. Or if there is anyone who did well on the PMP Exam that I can speak with. Please reach out to me. Thank you! Saving Changes...
Hi Lisa Mulligan , I noticed on your LinkedIn profile listed "PMP" under "Licenses & Certifications" section. I was just curious whether you already passed the PMP exam, or are you planning to take it soon? If it’s still in progress, you might consider holding off on listing it as a certification to avoid any confusion, until you passed the PMP certification exam.
Anyway, it’s great to see that you interest in PMP certification. If you have taken the exam before, I believe you can do even better this time around with certain efforts. In the meantime, please feel free to post any questions you have in the discussion. I’m sure someone here will be happy to help.
Wishing you all the best on your PMP journey!

Hello Danny, Thank you so much for letting me know! It looks like I wanted to add the PMI logo but it was entered under License and Certifications instead of organizations. It has been removed. When did you take the PMP Exam?
Can you provide some more details about what you'd be looking for this tutor to help you with? Is there a particular knowledge area or domain which you need assistance with?

Hello Kiron,
Thank you for your message. I actually met with a tutor today to help me with the final hurdle! My challenge is this that I have not been consistent (with exception of my score which has flatlined), so it has been difficult to narrow down.

Yes, I have passed the PMP exam. Like Kiron said, “Practice more”, which I couldn’t agree more. Consistent practice truly sharpened our understanding and boosted the confidence. At the same time, I also believe a good study plan is key to staying focused and having a clear path about our goals.

Lisa -
The good news with that is you are not struggling with any particular area. As such, the only advice I can provide is to keep taking good quality practice exams until you can get your scores above 80%.

Lisa, for the PMP, here is what I suggest you do:
1) Read through the Exam Content Outline (ECO), then read PMBOK 7th edition and then go through the new Process Groups Practice Guide.
2) Go through Rita Mulchay’s Exam Prep book, I think its 11th edition now, but double check. This is one of the best resources for exam preparation.
3) After you are done, purchase the Simulator Package through PM Prep Cast and practice as much as you can. This is a great simulator and resource for questions that mimic the real exam and will boost your confidence the more you practice.
4) If you want a course to fulfill your 35 Hours then check Joseph Phillips on Udemy. He is a PMI ATP and great instructor or check out PMI's self-paced course in the PMI Store.
Hello Lisa,
I passed the PMP on the first attempt scoring above target in all 3 domains. Here is my advice:
1. First remember that your experience will be different from any other. This is your experience alone. It is fine to seek advice, but use it only as a resource.
2. I utilized Andrew Ramadayal, PMP Exam Prep Simplified with a combination of his online resources. Chefs kiss.. I have heard many mention the materials by Rita. That is also an option as I heard the materials are really good.
3. One important thing.. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT FOCUS ON MEMORIZING THE PMBOK. That is a large manual with alot of information. Focus on understanding the principals and how to apply them.
4.Do not waste alot of money of test preps,..etc. The internet is free. USE IT. There are alot of youtube videos on critical path method, which I struggled with. Make sure to use them. I paid under a $1,000 total w/ exam fee.
