What will be increase in construction cost of brownfield in comparison of greenfield for gas plant, independent of location, contractor ability, scope content?

what are the factors that contribute for the increase? safety, disruptions, limited hours of work.

Can the work be done 24 hrs?

Construction cost of brownfield gas plant is always higher than of greenfield because you need to work in the conditions of operating plant. In this case you need to pat attention to the operating mode of the plant.
The cost of such works will always include next additional expenses compared to greenfield:
- cost of dismantling works
- cost of preparatory works to ensure the possibility and safety of works in constrained conditions
- cost of losses due to stop of operating facility which you want to rebuild or reconstruct

Taking about a possibility to complete works within 24 hours, I guess it is possible, but it depends on type and amount of work. I think it will be feasible if you replace some part of piping with valves.
However it will be impossible if you want to install or replace processing unit.

That''s all I can say. If you want to get more detailed answers you may detail you question and I''m ready to discuss it with pleasure.
