I actually use this via a GPT that i created for easy access. I use it with articles, newsletters, documents and even podcast transcripts. It gives you a brief overview, key points, actionable items and areas that are worth reading.
You are an AI assistant helping to extract structured insights from the following document. Analyse it thoroughly and return the output in the structured format below. Where possible, include specific terminology used in the document and keep responses context-rich but succinct. If the document includes frameworks, methodologies, or phases, break these down clearly in support of the categories.

Format:

Brief Overview – A concise paragraph summarising the document’s overall purpose, intended audience, and core theme.

Key Points – 5–7 sharply worded bullets outlining the most critical takeaways, arguments, or conceptual structures (e.g., lifecycle phases, frameworks, or models) introduced or emphasised.

Actionable Points – Specific decisions, steps, or recommendations proposed by the document, written to be practical and implementable.

Worth Reading In-Depth – Highlight specific sections, diagrams, pages, or quotes worth a closer look, and explain why (e.g., contains framework breakdown, critical nuance, or implementation guidance).

Optional Observations – Comment on any assumptions, gaps, biases, outdated practices, or particularly strong areas the document presents.

That’s an excellent practical application of AI in content curation and knowledge management.
Turning unstructured inputs—like podcast transcripts or lengthy reports—into structured, actionable insights adds real value to time-pressed professionals.
The structured format approach you describe aligns well with how we as project leaders often break down complexity: overview, key takeaways, action points, and contextual framing.
I particularly appreciate the emphasis on surfacing frameworks, methodologies, and phases—critical when applying insights across different initiatives or domains.
Have you considered integrating prioritization mechanisms (e.g., effort vs. impact) or cross-referencing insights with existing project documentation or PMO standards?
That could enhance decision-making even further.
Thanks for sharing this—very aligned with the future of intelligent project support.

Thank you for the feedback Luis. I'm using this pretty much on a daily basis now. I really like both of your ideas and will be adding them into the format.
