Over the years, many of us have transitioned across roles — from technical execution to leadership, and in some cases, to strategic consulting. With each shift, our view of what makes a project “successful” also changes.
When I began as a developer, success meant clean code and on-time delivery. As I moved into leadership and consulting roles, success became more about stakeholder alignment, long-term value, and sustainable outcomes.

I believe communication is key. You need to clearly convey the value of your project to stakeholders, employees, sponsors, and others. Effective communication helps build the support and alignment needed to deliver a successful project.
