Hi, I am looking into transitioning to becoming a high school business teacher and utilizing my project management skills to educate our future project managers. Has anyone transitioned into teaching? Thank you.

I did this for a few years prior to retirement, however, it was teach project management within a small boutique training company and not teaching kids. I did take some adult learning courses to get a grounding in some of the fundamentals for this.

Thanks. I'll be taking courses toward a teaching certification, specifically business education. I was just wondering if anyone had shifted careers to teaching.

Suzanne, like Kiron, I also step into teaching from time to time, though not full-time. Your background in project management will be a real asset because it allows you to go beyond the textbook by teaching real-world applications from your experience. You’ll also be able to bring project-based learning to life in the classroom and help build career awareness among your students, giving them a strong foundation for the future.
