Code of Ethic: Concern of sharing AI Artifact

Hello everyone. Lets me brief my care.

I am learning PMOCP. I’m using PMO: A Practice Guide and the PMI® Authorized PMI-PMOCP™ Exam Prep Course as my primary resources. I also use AI tools (Claude) to help me create a personalized study roadmap and practice quizzes based on these materials.

My question is: Is there any issues if I share the quiz (create from AI with PMI source) with other?

So long as you appropriately reference or credit the underlying sources used by the AI to create the quiz that should be fine assuming it is a non-PMI AI model. If it is PMI Infinity or some other PMI-owned AI model then you would have to check the terms of reference for that tool.

Hi An NguyenThanh,

Thank you for raising an important and timely question.
You're clearly approaching your PMOCP preparation with commitment and innovation — using AI tools to personalize your study is a smart move.
Your concern about sharing AI-generated quizzes based on PMI materials is very valid, and I’d like to offer a few reflections from an ethical and professional standpoint.
1. Respect for Intellectual Property
Even if the quiz is generated by AI, if it uses content derived directly from PMI-authorized sources (like the PMO Practice Guide or official Prep Course), sharing it publicly — or even in private groups — may constitute a breach of PMI's copyright or terms of use.
PMI invests considerable effort to develop those resources, and their usage is intended for personal, licensed learning.
2. Responsibility and Fairness
One of our ethical commitments as project professionals is to act fairly and responsibly.
Sharing potentially proprietary content, even with good intentions, may give others an unfair advantage or put you (and them) at ethical and even legal risk.
3. What You Can Share
If you want to help others, a better route might be to share:
- Your personal insights or study strategies (e.g., how you structured your roadmap with AI),
- Quizzes or questions you created entirely on your own, without copying or rephrasing from PMI materials,
- General tips on using AI tools responsibly in certification prep.

Recommendation
If in doubt, it's always best to:
- Check PMI’s Copyright & Use Guidelines, or
- Contact PMI Customer Care for clarification before sharing.

This type of ethical discernment is exactly what the PMOCP — and the project management profession — values.
You're already showing the mindset of a responsible PMO leader by raising this question.

Wishing you continued success on your PMOCP journey!

Hi An,

If your AI-generated quizzes are based on PMI’s copyrighted materials, sharing them could violate PMI’s Code of Ethics and copyright policy. It’s best to keep them for personal use or create original content that doesn’t copy PMI sources.

When in doubt, it's always best to check PMI’s official Intellectual Property guidelines or reach out to PMI support directly.

Hope this helps clarify things!
