As the Programs Portfolio lead for the Southern New England Chapter of PMI, I'd love to know if any other U.S. chapters have committees that produce programs for or in association with institutions of higher education. How is your chapter creating benefit for student members? What kinds of relationships are you creating with colleges and universities? How do you structure the committee that addresses these questions?

Hello Deborah - and thanks for your post. I suggest contacting another chapter close to your location in the the Northeast. The PMI Mass Bay Chapter works with educational institutions to create valuable learning opportunities for PMI members and students. Their partnerships offer members access to high-quality training at discounted rates. Here is the direct link - https://www.pmimassbay.org/learning-offers/. I hope this helps!

Deborah,
Maybe Chapters outside the US have also developed programs teaming up with universities. I recall the France Chapter having a branch in Nice, with was indeed founded decades ago on a relationship with the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (now part of Université Côte d'Azur).
Besides that, you can look at universities with GAC-accredited programs and such with student clubs (a PMI-defined concept) like the Chapter in Lima, Peru, maintains for 20+ years.

Thank you for the suggestion, Thomas.

Just to be clear, we already have a strong relationship with the only local university that has a GAC-accredited program. We're looking to create relationships with other institutions that do not have (and are not necessarily interested in offering) such programs.

Thanks again,
Deborah
