Hi Experts ,
I have started my PMP Certification preparation and will give the PMP Exam at the end of 2025 or at the beginning of 2026. I guess , the PMP Exam pattern was last modified in 2021.

Is there any possibility that the PMP Exam pattern will change again in late 2025 or early 2026 ? How will I get notified if the exam pattern changes ?

PMI has not announced any plans to being a new PMP Role Delineation Study (RDS) which is required to update the Exam Content Outline (ECO) which forms the basis for test questions.

As such, while there are always some new questions being added and some existing questions retired from the overall PMP exam "pool", there won't be any major changes.

Should they do this later on this year or early next year, it will be announced everywhere and you'll have plenty of time to adjust to the new ECO.

Hi Saswata,

It seems the 8th edition of PMBOK will be released around the fourth quarter of 2025.
Everything depends on the changes, but I assume there may be some impact.

But basically, Kiron said everything. Studying based on the Exam Content Outline is what you should do.

Best of luck.

Saswata, I do agree with Kiron. PMI will usually announce any major changes well in advance to give candidates who already started their prep journey to sit for the current exam.

Here’s a general response in English you can use to reply to the post:

Hi! The PMP exam format was last updated in 2021, and while no major overhaul is expected by the end of 2025, PMI is gradually introducing updates. These include a stronger focus on agile/hybrid methodologies, emerging technologies like AI, and more scenario-based questions. A more significant change might come in 2026 with the release of the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition.

PMI typically announces changes well in advance through their official website, emails to registered candidates, and authorized training providers. It's a good idea to stay subscribed to PMI updates and follow trusted prep resources.

Best of luck with your exam preparation!

The discussion around how project managers can lead in an AI-first workplace is incredibly timely. The balance between leveraging software and nurturing soft skills is critical for navigating the complexities of modern project management. What stood out to me was the emphasis on emotional intelligence and the human touch in a tech-driven environment. This blend of skills is something I've seen explored in games like the game Steal A Brainrot.
