Hi All,
I started with PMI in June 2013. I haven't been part of the community in a while and never thought to rejoin. After looking and reading some of the comments, questions and replies, I don't know why I haven't returned until now. My reasonings now are similar to Talia's above. I am looking to learn from others as there are plenty of individuals who have more experience than I do, along with having a forum to ask questions and get feedback.

Francisco Matheus Chagas Joining the PMI Global Community was, for me, a natural step in my journey as a project leader, a way to keep learning, to exchange experiences with peers around the world, and to engage in meaningful conversations about leadership, strategy, and the evolution of our profession.
It’s where theory meets lived experience - whether we’re reflecting on agile metrics, stakeholder dynamics, or ethical dilemmas that challenge our decision-making frameworks.
I’ve grown not only as a practitioner, but also as a mentor, by learning from others and contributing back to this incredible network.
For new members: Start small but start engaged.
Attend at least one live webinar per month or comment on a discussion that resonates with you, it makes a difference.
This community is not just a resource; it’s a living space of collective wisdom.
And if you’re willing to give as much as you receive, you’ll find in PMI a truly global home for professional growth, ethical leadership, and lasting impact.
Upon obtaining my PMP certification, I had the opportunity to discover the projectmanagement.com online portal.
It was an excellent opportunity to further my career as a Project Manager, participating and sharing with other professional colleagues in interesting and constructive discussions. I also had access to valuable, up-to-date content such as blogs, articles, courses, and webinars. The template content is also very useful in supporting project management processes. Being a content contributor is another option. You can share your expertise and knowledge with the community for the benefit of everyone. Saving Changes...
I had been volunteering for quite some time before deciding to get involved with PMI. Most of my earlier volunteer work was in person. However, because there is no active PMI chapter in this part of Canada, I chose to volunteer virtually.
That option allows me to contribute my experience while also learning from other professionals at the same time, especially since I am not currently working in a formal PM role. For me, this is a practical way to stay sharp. There’s a simple truth I live by: skills that are not used eventually fade. Saving Changes...

Hi Francisco Matheus Chagas,
For me, it was the opportunity to learn from real practitioners around the world and to stay connected to how project management is evolving in practice, not just theory. I also value the chance to share experiences, ask honest questions, and grow through community-driven learning
