How recursive Process fits into Temporary nature of Project ?

On onset of any project all the risks associated to a project can't be identified. It just that as project is progressively elaborated during the course diving through various process of PM Knowledge areas and new risks are identified so I won't say all but few process would be recursive in nature. so again we dive through process and identify new risk if any, Now Project being temporary how this recursive nature of processes fits in a Project architecture.
