Burned Down Chart for Normal (Waterfall) Project ?

Hi Members,
Appreciate you kind help for preparing Burned Down Chart Report for Normal (Waterfall model ) Projects.
I understand Burned down chart report is prepared for Agile projects.
Can i prepare the same for Normal Projects, where scope and requirements and budget are fixed at the beginning itself.
Your kind replies, will be very help. if anyone has done burned down report for normal projects, could you please explain with examples.

Hi Ganesh,
For me as long as you have a list of tasks to perform in a given time frame, then burndown chart can be done.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
Here I use CLARITY open workbench, and Tasks are logged based on from and To dates, Estimattions are planned by PM.
Still can i export the details in Excel and able to create ?

Hi Ganes,
Export all tasks with their duration and start date. The goal is to have a cummulative remaning work, aligned on a calendar. Start day 0 will all efforts and the finish date you will have 0 d. This is your baseline. Do the same with your actuals to have the second line.
Make the calculation in Excel it should be possible, and draw line chart.
