Sorry to intervene again, but I read @Priya comments and I´d like to extend my original comment. What @Priya mentioned is critical. Agile is a way of behave and think with focus in constant value delivery and quality. When organizations implement agile they gain agility which is the ability to react to environmental changes and create environmental changes. Taking that some groups have created agile methods to do things (for example the famous agile software development methods and the manifesto). But @Priya take the point. Enterprise Architecture must be transformed to implement agile concepts and that includes mainly organizational culture, which is the hard variable in this history. I am leading this inside the organization we are working today. Saving Changes...
I fully agree with Sergio's comment. Agility applied at Organizational level does need application of various agile tools and it does not only apply to software industry. We have seen agility creeping into Telco industry and there is a good chance other industries will soon start applying agility at organizational level rather than just project level. I have been informed Michel Thiry is presenting in SeminarWorld on 14-15 Oct 2015 at Orlando, Florida, on the topic of Organizational Agility. Must attend that. Saving Changes...

I've developed a new organizational agility framework that I developed too late to include in my new book coming out in February 2016, but that I will incorporate into my Change Planning Toolkit™ coming out in advance of the book later this year, and will be highlighting some of my thinking around organizational agility into future articles here on ProjectManagement.com.
I need to comment on Sergio's statement "Agile is a way of behave and think with focus in constant value delivery and quality". I think you are talking about Lean here not Agile. Agile is all about speed and flexibility, it does deal with delivery but value and quality are not the prime concerns with Agile. Lean focuses on value, quality and efficiency. If you are using a married up concept of Lean and Agile popularly known as Lean-Agile, LeAgile or AgiLean, then I would agree with you. Saving Changes...

Sorry but agile is not about speed. That is one of the big mistakes most of the people do when thinking about agile. And this is a headache when people like me try to implement agile principles (not software not IT related only) in some organization. Agile is fully focused on customer needs which is key to deliver value. And is fully focused on quality, because quality is the basement to understand the client and to deliver value. Most of the people thinks agile started with the manifesto for agile software development. That´s wrong. From year 2010 I am performing conferences around the world inside the PMI World Tour talking about that. I am working (this is my ffive project of that kind) in implementing agile at organizational level (not software not IT) because my organization strategy demands agility. But please, search for the agile history, search for the manifesto for agile software development (an please understand it mainly the reason because its name), search inside the PMI Agile Community and webinars. Do not loose the opportunity to take advantage of agile if your organizational strategy demands it. Saving Changes...

Sergio,
I would look forward to discussing your comments about Organizational Agility. Since 2001, we have been solely focused on Organizational Agility, which is similar, but different, than Agile Methodology. The focus on Organizational Agility began in mid-1990s with the Agility Forum's research and associated publications concentrating on Next Generation Manufacturing. I added elements of Organizational Agility into PMI's Practice Guide -- Managing Change in Organizations (2013), where I was one of the contributing authors.
Good dialogue -- let's keep it going since there is great opportunity to share across both areas of focus -- Agile Methodology and Organizational Agility.
