What new features would help you network more effectively on Projectmanagement.com?

I'd like to spark some conversation on new features or functionality you would find helpful in your networking efforts.

Networking isn't about connections, it's about connecting.

I have a setting enabled that automatically connects me with members of my PMI chapter. This is great, but what have I done with it? A feature I would find helpful would be the ability to sort and/or search for my connections by location or PMI chapter. No offense to the rest of you, you're all important, but I'm somewhat active in my chapter, and it's hard to keep in touch with 1,500+ members, especially when I haven't met most of them and find it challenging to sort through my list of connections to find people in my chapter. If I could find and reach out to other chapter members I'm connected with before a chapter event, it would make it easier to make the transition from having a "connection" to actually connecting with a real person.

What new features or functionality would help you network more effectively, here?

Specifically focusing on facilitating mentoring, one capability would be to simplify the process for folks to locate a virtual mentor. A mentee would fill out a form and the platform would search across the community for folks who are interested in mentoring and who match some or all of the search criteria the mentee is looking for. The mentee could then select the mentors from the search list and the platform would contact them to see if they are interested in connecting.

That would reduce the current approach of posting in a discussion group hoping a potential mentor sees the request.
