A success story doesn’t always need to describe a completed project with measurable results. It can also highlight a powerful lesson learned that shaped the way you approach challenges. Overcoming failures or obstacles can be an important part of a success story too.

While I can’t share the project content, I can share how I overcame obstacles when applying Monte Carlo simulations in risk management. At first, it felt overwhelming, the process seemed to take forever, and I had no clear picture of the outcomes. But with persistence and structured learning, I was able to break it down, run the simulations effectively, and eventually see how powerful they are for managing uncertainty.

Yes, many.

You will find that evaluations of projects change over time.
While the project ran, I experienced significant stress and uncertainty; the main task was to reduce uncertainty for the client and the team.
When it ended, evaluations often were based on schedule and cost adherence, which contributed to customer satisfaction (or not).
After some time, years, all the mistakes I made vanished, and in hindsight, every project was successful. Even formerly dissatisfied customers view the project as a success now. Nobody cares about cost and due date after five years.
Even a bad solution delivered has been adapted to the needs and is now seen as a good solution.

Janviere Dushimire I started working as a PM, even without prior experience, by managing a $ 2.5 million project. I was lucky enough to have a Mentor guiding me along the way. My success story marks the point where I began connecting the dots, applying the lessons learned from the PMP preparatory class to my project, and gaining a broader perspective as the project evolved towards completion. Application of theory to practice and applying lessons learned on one project to the next project. These are my success stories. You can check my LinkedIn profile to see some of these projects https://www.linkedin.com/in/akinfadare/
