Hi, I am working with the Information and Technology Services Division (ITS) of a Life Insurance Company. They have requested a business resumption plan (disaster recovery) to use as a model. Does anyone have either a plan focused on computer systems, or a point of contact that I can call? Many Thanks!

I am also looking for a good Disaster Recovery Plan template. If anyone has one, please help.

Many companies offer automated software that can do this for you. I would suggest www.strohlsystems.com to start off.

I've been working with our Facilities team to develop a BCP as well. We've looked at 2 companies. eTeam and Alert Technologies. eTeam has been on site of the World Trade Center since the 9/11 and is contracted by NYC. www.eteam.com & www.alerttech.com

Strohl Systems & CPOTracker are two great software tools that could assist you in the process. I recently completed a disaster recovery plan project for my company which included provisions for the relocation of our employees as well as our technical infrastructure.

We worked with DataChambers (www.datachambers.com) on creating a solution that is very slick. We have a VMware solution in place as well as IBM Tivoli to backup data across a datapipe. I have a great contact there; Mike Miller (704) 248-8260.
