HI all.
After recently certifying PMP, I am considering doing the Council of Lean Six Sigma Certification CLSSC in its self paced mode aiming to reach the black belt.
I wonder if this investment in time and effort can be counted as PDU as well, as it wont be a course, but self paced, self study.

In addition, I was in luck to be able to start my professional journey 13 years ago in automotive embracing six sigma concepts. Therefore, I am very familiar with the concepts.
Now I am in a different country and company where the concepts are not applied neither seem to be a vision towards it. But this goes aligned to my vision of giving structured proof to my collected experience.

So long as there is some proof of the studying you have done and you pro-rate the hours based on the content which is truly applicable to the role of a PM and allocate it appropriately across the legs of the PMI Talent Triangle, you should be fine. Even if the course does not provide an automated log of the hours spent, you could do so yourself with a simple manual log of the dates & durations of the studying you did.
