Hello,
I'm a part-time student and military member and I'm getting ready to transition from my current job ( I run a maintenance team of several people and some expensive equipment); to the civilian IT world. Currently I'm studying for the Prince2 certifications and also for the Scrum Master Certification. I hope to be a full member of the community soon and I am already excited to bit into all the knowledge that this site has!

Welcome, Matt!

Do you know the geography in which you'll be living yet? If so, or if you are open to travel, folks here may be able to help you find opportunities.

Good luck!

The main question that I'm pondering right now is if I should also push for certifications like MCSE and it's Oracle equivilent to put more weight in my resume

Here's an article you may find interesting about the combination of "technical" and PM certifications. http://blog.globalknowledge.com/technology...igher-salary-2/
