Hello everyone,

I work in a electrical projects & regional services profile. I have just passed PMP exam. I have no as such literal project management experience. Mostly I am project contributor, like team leader for a execution team & a service manager for a certain region, and with just 3 years of experience. Hence I am confused as to what kind of opportunities I should look for, direct project management profile or coordinator kind of??

You will need to maintain your PMP with 60 PDUs (60 hours) in 3 years. May as well choose those hours wisely and continue to learn more about the profession of project management.

The best way to learn however, is practice. Make sure you focus on project management techniques, tools, books, seminars, and if you can be mentored by a senior project manager as a guide that is even better.

The PMP credential is a plus in your books. As I am currently preparing for PMP, I found that simply by the fact that I mention ... I am set to take the exam "soon" it somehow helps a lot.

With PMP I expect to go for more senior PM roles. But then again in your case you must have had a reason why you got your PMP. Start there and find out why you really did it and then you will find your answer.

The most obvious answer would be career progression, not matter what the title is.
