I have over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, primarily in PMC roles at the senior planner level on the client side. My background covers the full project lifecycle from initiation to close-out, with strong knowledge and experience in scope, schedule, cost, procurement, construction, risk, change, and document management.

I am looking to further advance my career and would greatly appreciate your guidance or suggestions on the way forward.

What are your career goals - short & mid-term? What types of activities do you wish to be doing (and which do you not wish to do)? Without that info, it'll be pretty difficult for community members to provide useful guidance.

Thanks, Kiron, for your valuable suggestion.
Current Role:
I'm currently a Senior Planner in a Project Management Contractor (PMC) role, supporting the planning aspects of two projects with a combined budget value of $115 million. My duties include:
Preparing L1/L2 schedules and managing projects from the concept stage to securing authority approval.
Assisting project managers in finalizing schedule timelines and conducting cost analysis.
Analyzing and reviewing project plans, guiding baseline set-ups and contractor planning packages.
Reporting project statuses to stakeholders.
Engaging in procurement, change, risk, and documentation management throughout the project lifecycle.
Conducting EOT analyses and providing relevant inputs to project management.
Overseeing planning authority and maintaining project control and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Short & Mid-term Goals:
I am focused on integrating digitization and AI applications into my current role to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
I aim to progress into a lead or managerial level position, where I can leverage my planning expertise alongside technological advancements to lead projects more strategically.

I agree with Kiron. Your question should be reframed to get better engagement from community members. But here's what I have for you.

This process of identifying where you are headed is largely introspective. You need to identify answers to certain relevant questions.

Where do you wish to be in the future?
Where do you see yourself?
Where are you right now?

Then identify where the problem is i.e why you are not there yet.
A general answer to this question is your systems are not apt to get you to your destination.

Coin a goal from the problem.
e.g Become the senior project manager in...

Do some research and analysis of the possible ways of getting to your destination.
Then analyze the different alternatives with some tools such as value analysis, cost- benefit analysis and decision analysis.
Depending on your values, your beliefs and identity select a specific path from the alternatives.

Next, break it down and formulate a strategy. With effective planning, the implementation of the strategy is no longer a hurdle.

Your path is now identified. It is up to you to be hardworking and determined to achieve your goals. There are still so much useful resource on the internet you can look up.
