Should PMOs transition from “Project Management Offices” to “Performance Management Offices”?

Many PMOs already oversee portfolios, strategy, and outcomes. Would reframing the name and mandate elevate their perception and influence within organizations?

Interesting point, Lissette. I think changing to a “Performance Management Office” could help PMOs focus more on results and business value, not just managing projects. It also shows how they help the organization reach its goals.
