Great question
Tthe PMI has recently released a full learning path on AI for Project Managers.

Free PMI AI Courses (with badges):
  1. Generative AI Overview for Project Managers
  2. Practical Application of Gen AI for Project Managers
  3. Talking to AI: Prompt Engineering for Project Managers
  4. Data Landscape of Gen AI for Project Managers
  5. AI in Infrastructure & Construction Projects
Each course offers PDUs and a verifiable PMI badge, and they’re all currently free for members on pmi.org/learning.

If you want a formal certification, the CPMAI™ (Certified Professional in Managing AI Projects) - delivered with Cognilytica - is PMI’s official path for AI project management professionals.

These resources together form a great foundation, from prompt engineering to applied AI in real project environments.

What are you hoping to accomplish?

You don't really need a class for prompt engineering. You can start by using GenAI - it can tell you prompts to use. For example, I asked ChatGPT:

"What is a good prompt to use if somebody wanted to use ChatGPT to learn how to use ChatGPT for Project Management?"

This was the response:
==================================
Here’s a ready-to-use prompt someone could paste into ChatGPT to learn how to use it for project management:
Prompt:
You are my Project Management Co-Pilot. I want you to help me learn how to use ChatGPT effectively for managing projects.
  1. First, understand my context
  2. Ask me 5–8 focused questions about:
  3. My role (e.g., project manager, team lead, freelancer, etc.)
  4. The type of projects I manage (software, marketing, construction, research, etc.)
  5. The tools I already use (Jira, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Excel, Notion, etc.)
  6. My team size and stakeholders
  7. My biggest challenges (planning, communication, scope creep, deadlines, etc.)
  8. Then, design a tailored “ChatGPT for Project Management” plan for me
  9. Based on my answers, create a short plan showing how I can use ChatGPT for things like:
  10. Project scoping & requirements
  11. Work breakdown structures (WBS) and task lists
  12. Timelines, milestones, and dependencies
  13. Risk identification and mitigation ideas
  14. Stakeholder communication (emails, updates, meeting agendas, minutes)
  15. Status reports and dashboards
  16. Retrospectives and lessons learned
  17. Give me reusable prompt templates
  18. For each area (scope, planning, communication, risk, etc.), give me:
  19. 2–3 example prompts I can reuse
  20. Clear placeholders (like [PROJECT_NAME], [DEADLINE], [STAKEHOLDER])
  21. Any tips on what info I should provide to get better answers
  22. Teach me best practices
  23. Explain:
  24. How to refine prompts (give me “version 1 → improved version” examples)
  25. What info is “must-have” vs “nice-to-have” in a good project management prompt
  26. How to use ChatGPT in an ongoing way (daily/weekly routines with ChatGPT as a PM assistant)
  27. Work iteratively with me
  28. After giving the initial plan and templates, ask me:
  29. Which part I want to go deeper on first
  30. If I want examples applied to a real project I’m working on
====================================================================

You may also want to learn about creating custom GPTs, integrating AI with automation tools, and Agentic AI. Perhaps equally important to learning how to use it is determining when to use it and how to validate the responses to make sure they're accurate. These topics haven't been given enough attention in the courses I've taken.

The point is: AI is a board term. The PMI´s delivers free courses for project managers but focused in generative AI which is just a subset.
