How often do you feel that communication with external stakeholders (suppliers, clients, neighbors, authority...etc) is going in the wrong way? Do you feel that it is jeopardizing project development, and causes headaches that could be avoided, if a better communication plan was carried?
Out of my experience, I think that communication with external stakeholders is an important issue, which its importance is usually underestimated by projects' teams. What does your experience says about that? Do you agree that there is something missed in that part of work, or at least some of the usual techniques, that are used for external communications are not effective?

Every stakeholder is important for project success.. in my view even the admin team who is managing the security is also important.
So the external stakeholders and involving them into communication is of prime importance. Even if they are not involved in some of the decision making regarding projects they should be aware about the project progress. This helps PM to buy-in them as well to make project a success.
In past I have experienced it that leaving out the team (third party infra team) has cost us a time and money.
