Clarification on Exam tools

Hello!

I am scheduled for my PMP exam in January. Studies continue, and I have a Prep Exam for practice. I have also seen folks advise PM PrepCast for practice.

While scheduling, it was noted you could not bring in any materials besides approved book/s. However, the scheduling was done through PearsonVue, and I did not find any way to identify/verify what book/s may be acceptable to bring during an exam.

AFAIK, this is a closed-book exam, and you do not get to bring your notes or any reference documentation.

Can someone confirm this is correct, or advise (or share a link) to what is approved to bring in for the exam? I do have a list of suggested readings for study, but alas, no clarity on bringing a reference book on the actual exam day.

Thanks in advance - Sunday

I think it’s best to contact PMI directly and ask for clarification.

Thank you for the clarification, Kiron, that was what I had expected.

Sunday, I agree with Kiron. You can’t bring any materials into the exam room, whether you take the test in person or online. I completed all my PMI credentials at a Pearson VUE testing center, and that rule has always been enforced. When you take the exam online, the security checks are even more rigorous.
