Yes, I’ve reviewed the 8th Edition.
Two quick technical notes:
1. PMI removed the 7th Edition
The 8th Edition is now the sole active guidance.
Even so, several principles and value-based ideas from the 7th remain integrated, though no longer explicitly structured as a separate framework.
2. Technical impression
- Clearer structure and stronger operational usability
- Better integration of hybrid delivery, PMOs, procurement and AI
- Still avoids the prescriptive process-driven model of the 5th/6th editions
- Consolidates guidance but reduces explicit conceptual scaffolding
Overall: more practical, more actionable, but with less conceptual depth than the 7th offered.
Curious to hear how others interpret this consolidation
