Hi Arelene Trimble,

Very good question, Are you a PMO ? bcoz I'm also PMO searching for right group for discussion.

I find more discussion is happening in Project managment Central Discusion group, Suggest you post there.

From my opinion, the trend for PMO will be based on completely Organisation, because there is no separte framework for PMO as such. So based on orgranisation needs it will be tailored.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of trying new trends in PMOs as the PMO’s bread and butter is still often imperfect. And by “bread and butter” I understand researching project-related needs of an organization and responding to them creatively with the PMO. Those need are constantly changing, and adjusting your PMO to those changes (or co-creating them) can be considered as a best new trend there is.

Lukasz,
I understand that you say that requirements for a PMO are constantly changing along with project-related needs and the PMO has adopt to these.
I agree to that and consider this an agile PMO.
Nevertheless, there are requirements not from bottom-up projects but from top-down organization, which grant to set a PMO architecture/structure that is sustainable and supports the agile PMO artifacts. As an example, companies still doing annual planning will ask for portfolio planning each year, which I think should be supported by the PMO.

Arlene, I am currently working in such a setup.
