Can you recommend a benefits realization approach/tool that is easy to use and easy to understand by business owner and stakeholders?

Thank you.

I usually adopt the approach of stage gate in project management, i divide the project in stages and for each stage and before to move to the next one I call a Steering Committee meeting where we analyze the BC against the actuals and jointly ddecide if we move on or not. Prince 2 appproach

have a look here: http://www.practicalbrm.com/ and buy the book
(I am not getting anything from it).
Very practical approach and easy to understand.

The PMI Standard for Program Management includes Benefits Management to a wider degree (e.g. more details on transition and sustainment), but it is hard to comprehend.

And thirdly, you might consider having a look at Axelos' MSP.
