What is your role in the Agile world as a BA?

HI Arlene,

I'm a bit confused here. If you are a BA in an agile world then you are a....BA? I don't know many shops these days who say you have to be called a product owner or something else. As the PMBOK details, the context of a BAs roles depend on the culture, the structure of the program...etc.

First, agile is not a method or methdology, agile is not software or IT related only, agile is not the manifesto. With this on mind let me say that business analysis role is critical to be successful in agile environements. I am working right now in my sevent initiative regarding agile, I have written an article for PM Network, but to understand what agile is go to the basement: USA DoD NSF/Agility Forum (1990, I was part) deliverables. You can search for Mr. Rick Dove´s work named "Response Ability" which contains most of the forum deliverables too.
