Mohd, PMP can be a strong asset for your career and a valuable addition to your resume. While your 10+ years of project management experience, MBA in Project Management, and B.Tech in Civil Engineering already give you a solid foundation, the PMP certification adds global recognition and standardization to your profile.

Many employers view PMP as a benchmark certification because it validates not just experience, but also your understanding of best practices, frameworks, and terminology. PMP can also enhance your credibility when competing for senior roles, consulting opportunities, or client-facing positions. In some organizations, it is a preferred or mandatory requirement for promotions and leadership roles. Additionally, it helps with networking through the PMI community and can improve your marketability and salary potential.

In short, while PMP may not replace your experience or degrees, it complements them by formally validating your expertise and positioning you more competitively in the job market.

Couldn't agree more with Rami on the value that PMP can bring to your portfolio.

The only thing I'd add is to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons, not just for the sake of it. As Kiron mentioned in the other thread, it's not cheap to earn and maintain it.
