I earn PDUs by listens to webinars, attending my local chapter PMI meetings, and PMI classes. There are other ways to earn PDUs including formal education and volunteering. Can you share how you earn PDUs?
When I was in peak accumulation mode years back, it was a combination of giving back (e.g. volunteering in various ways with PMI at the global and Chapter levels, delivering presentations & webinars), reading PM-oriented books & working in the profession. Now that I'm retired and in certification shedding mode, reading is pretty much my only source of PDUs.

I enjoy earning PDUs through webinars, including older ones that still offer useful information. unfortunately the star ratings don’t always match the real quality. Some webinars last 60 minutes but could be covered in 10, yet they still show up with five stars, which makes it harder to choose. Because of that, I usually decide based on the topic and the speaker instead of the rating.

In addition to webinars and chapter meetings, I also earn PDUs by teaching project management and volunteering. Teaching deepens my understanding because it forces clarity and discipline of thought. Volunteering allows me to apply governance and leadership principles in real contexts. For me, learning is strongest when it combines reflection and contribution. Saving Changes...

Michael, Michael, I earn PDUs through a combination of volunteering with Project Management Institute in various capacities, actively engaging in continuous professional development, and participating in conferences, chapter events, and webinars. Volunteering has been especially rewarding, as it allows me to give back to the profession while developing leadership and collaboration skills. I also pursue ongoing learning opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices in project management. Saving Changes...
uMichael King /uI earn PDUs through a mix of structured learning and practical contribution. In addition to webinars and chapter meetings, I gain PDUs by taking specialized online courses aligned with emerging trends like AI in project management and risk analytics. I also earn PDUs through self-directed learning—reading industry publications, whitepapers, and PMI standards updates. Volunteering is another valuable source, particularly mentoring junior professionals and contributing to professional discussions or knowledge-sharing sessions. This approach allows me to balance formal education with real-world engagement while continuously expanding both technical and leadership competencies. Saving Changes...
