AI is a board term. Lot of people are using AI in automatization from more than 40 years ago. If you are talking about generative AI then I can say that in my actual work place we are using it integrated with Jira Align and Azure Devops tools. But the important thing is the final users creates its own reports and queries.

Yes, it’s useful, but mostly for acceleration, not replacement.

AI helps summarize project updates, draft executive narratives from raw data, highlight anomalies in KPIs, and compare forecast trends across portfolios. That saves time.
The judgment part still stays human: deciding what matters, framing risks, and shaping the message for leadership.
