I want to hear from fellow PMPs: what are your career growth plans? Do you want to achieve a C-suite-level position, and if so, what is your path? Are you planning to add any more certifications to your name? Basically, what after PMP?

This is an excellent and very important question—one that can genuinely help new Project Managers avoid common misconceptions about progressing to C-level roles.
Being a strong Project Manager and successfully delivering multiple projects is undoubtedly a critical foundation for executive leadership. Consistent performance, strategic thinking, and proven delivery capability are essential building blocks for advancement.
However, project success alone does not guarantee a transition to the C-suite. Executive roles require a broader set of competencies beyond certifications and project execution. These include strategic vision, financial acumen, stakeholder influence at board level, political awareness, leadership maturity, organizational impact, and the ability to drive long-term business transformation.
In short, project management excellence is necessary—but not sufficient. The journey to C-level leadership depends on a combination of performance, visibility, business impact, leadership positioning, and timing—not merely credentials.
