How do we apply PMI Concepts for starting up a new company?

I would like to understand which framework best serves the purpose/guidelines for starting up a new company.

Can we use any of the PMI Guidelines for setting up a new company?

Starting a company is also a project. So every bit of PMP knowledge will be helpful. Also business mgmt knowledge is also required.
