AI tools are becoming more common in project environments.

Are you currently using AI in your day-to-day project work?

If yes, what task has it helped you with the most?

Here's some things that I've been using AI for that's helped with project work:

  1. Capturing meeting minutes and summarizing notes to be sent to meeting participants
  2. Writing documentation from a project manager lens whether it's a presentation, business case, etc. for different audiences
  3. Generating insights from data that I collect using AI agents. An example of this is lessons learned. I capture lessons learned, take the shared repository and feed it into an AI agent to generate insights for me. We've created an app to do this in Jira: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/123...mp;tab=overview if anyone is interested in using this as well
Some stuff that I thought could be cool but haven't been able to get done:

  1. Using AI to schedule meetings and follow-ups

Not today. I am using it from more than 40 years ago. But myself it does not matter, my organization it is what its matter.

Yes, I actively use AI in my day-to-day project work, and it has made a significant difference, especially in documentation and communication. It helps me draft status reports, meeting minutes, and stakeholder emails much faster, freeing up time for higher-level decision-making. The key is treating AI as a smart assistant that handles structure and language, while the project manager stays in charge of judgment, relationships, and strategy.
