We spend a great deal of time focusing on tools, with AI playing a large role in this area, however, I think having an effective project team is critical to a project's success. Virtual teams are the norm in most organizations, but having a strong team can be a game changer. I think the Project Manager's performance helps build the team's culture.

Do you agree with the importance of Project Team Work and do you have any suggestions that we can all use to improve our project team's dynamics?

I would say yes. The project team is very important. Their passion, motivation, skills, etc. plays a key role.

Building an effective project team is important for the project's success. The project manager should coordinate staff acquisition according to the specific needs.

Developing the project team will go through these stages:
*Forming: Team learns about the project
*Storming: Team addresses project work and offers ideas and perspectives
*Norming: Team members begin to work together, adjust habits, and trust each other.
*Performing: Members become well organized and work effectively on the tasks as a team.
*Adjourning: The team completes the work and moves on.

Managing the project team includes resolving problems, observation and conversation, facilitating communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, take good decisions, etc. The project manager should also perform project team appraisals, develop individual training plans, and give feedback to the team.

I fully agree, strong teams outperform any tool. A PM shapes this by setting clear purpose, creating trust, and encouraging open dialogue. I focus on simple habits like regular check ins, clear roles, and recognizing contributions. When people feel valued and aligned, collaboration improves naturally and delivery becomes smoother.

100%.

A project without a team cannot exist. Successful companies started off with a small team of A players. A competent and professional team is of utmost importance to achieve project success!

I help the team see the big picture by ensuring they understand how their individual contributions drive meaningful outcomes and deliver value to the end user or customer.
By recognizing each team member’s strengths and leveraging their skills effectively, I can build a more cohesive and high-performing team.
I also prioritize supporting the team through challenging situations and addressing conflicts constructively, as this leads to better decision-making and fosters stronger, more trusting relationships.
