Hi Memembers,

I'm working as PMO in well defined Project/IT Governance firm.

I always feel my work is around the governance defined and nothing could travel beyond, which i would like to :) I need your inputs improving my scope of work.

What i'm presently doing :-

1. Schedule Tracking
2. Risks / Issues Log and Tracking.
3. Action Items Monitoring Log
4. Minutes
5. Configuration Managment (Sharepoint Document Repository managment for Project).
6. Reporting - Weekly Schedule / Risk / Issue related , Monthly Milestone Report, Monthly Burnt Down chart, Budget vs Actuals report.
7. Dashboard - Monthly
8. Ensuring the documents in place as per QA governance.
9. Documentations Assitance.

We use Clarity PPM tool.

Is there any other metrics / report can i do to add some more value addition to my current role?

Please let me know. Thanks for your kind inputs again.

I'm not finding this PMO Mystique Group Active :( Is there any Active PMO related discussion group is there in this site, I see one more discussion group call "Programme Managment Group" that is also not active, I see only one main group "Project Management Central" is active, but there is no much PMO discussions taking place. Please help.

Thanks. Ganesh

Hi Ganesh.

I find it very useful to tie the metrics to the organization's vision or mission so that the activities of the PMO are aligned to the organization's vision and mission - how do these activities help fulfill the organization's vision or mission?
