Before we can discuss this in detail, we must understand the difference between a management plan and a detailed plan. Management Plan still is the larger set encompassing the whole plan but detailed plan is not the whole plan. A detailed plan cannot be built without a management plan as management plan is the set of rules, methods, tool, techniques, policies and procedures we intend using to develop and implement our detailed plan. Without a management plan, detailed plan cannot even start to getting developed. When a detailed plan is developed in light of the management plan, and is finalised and authenticated as if it can enter the implementation stage, we now have the whole nine yards of a PLAN.

Schedule model management plan contains templates , tools , processes and methods to help achieve schedule objective. It is a good tool to predict the project work completion and help team to look at project performance to date.

• Who - the resource(s) required to do it
• When - Optimum sequence in which the work should be undertaken.
Schedule data management plan are guidelines which describes how the scheduling data will be handled , presented and preserved. Schedule Data includes schedule milestones, schedule activities, activity attributes, resource requirements, assumptions & constraints
