Dear Members,
I'm working as PMO for a Program comprises of 10+ Projects. But i dont find there exists a Portfolio for this program.
Can you please help to understand with some examples on Project Portfolio Mangement with respect to IT ? What is PMO role on Portolio Managment.?

The PMO needs to be aware of and needs to manage the project portfolio - project backlog. This project portfolio is usually prioritize by a Steering Committee composed of Business Sponsors or Owners. The Portfolio Manager needs to make sure that the PM's are 'pulling' projects according to the priorities set forth by the committee. The Portfolio may contain programs or projects that may or may not relate to each other. Programs is a collection of projects that are related to each other. Saving Changes...
