Will AI enhance leadership communication by making it more effective, or will it gradually erode the human authenticity that great leadership depends upon?

An important question.

I do not believe the real risk is losing authenticity because AI helps draft messages. The real risk is outsourcing reflection, judgment and intent.

Authenticity does not come from writing every word manually. It comes from ensuring that the message genuinely reflects the leader's thinking, values and priorities.

AI can improve clarity, consistency and efficiency. But if leaders stop actively shaping the message, communication may become polished while losing meaning.

Perhaps the challenge is not deciding whether to use AI, but ensuring that human intention remains visible behind AI-assisted communication.

I think it depends on how AI is used. It can make communication more efficient by helping draft messages, summarize information, or tailor content for different audiences.
Authenticity is only lost when leaders rely on AI instead of adding their own judgment, voice, and empathy. AI can support communication, but it shouldn't replace genuine leadership.
