2. Planning a project - creating a project management plan (including all detail plans)
3. Executing the plan - creating the project deliverables
4. Monitoring and controlling the project - controlling changes, comparing actuals vs. plan and acting on deviations
5. Integrated change control - making sure to understand consequences of requested changes and - if approved - implement them
