Is attitude more important that IQ in project management?

attitude and IQ should be related but just a question to the pm community.

You definitely need both, but I believe attitude is far more important. No one wants a manager with a high IQ but a horrible attitude. From my experience those make horrible managers and usually have a high turnover rate with their employees. I've seen IT managers that don't know much about IT at all but had great attitudes that were very successful because their employees wanted to help them be successful.

On the other hand, no one wants a manager with a great attitude with a low IQ either. Ive seen that & it will cause employees to not trust that manager as it may cause more work for them.

As most of the responders pointed out, both attitude and IQ, in their own right, and without having any relation with each other, may be important to project management. As such high IQ will not impact the attitude or vice versa. It is rather seen high IQ people are generally introvert, so what you would say about their attitude? It is complicated finding a relation where it does not exist.
