Does anyone know of any successful, live implementations of advanced automation for project management. This would include MS project central implemented for multi-project / multi location, or the "enterprise solution" category including SME invision. elabor.com, pacific edge, Artemis and novient. I need the organization name and contact.

Alan,

What do you consider "success?" my guess is, knowing the results of the current Chaos study and the vast number of companies implementing an Enterprise Project Management package, "success" may be subject to scrutiny!

Alan – I noticed your question, in short I don’t know of any successful implementations to boost about. There must be some? Microsoft has some case studies posted on their web site. I also noticed customer names mentioned on most of the vendor’s web sites that you mentioned… an approach to take may be to call the customers using the specific products mentioned and see what they have to say.

We are focusing on the Microsoft suite, because we think we can get a better project portfolio management solution for cheaper, and do it ourselves faster. The integrated Project Central & ELabor product should roll-out sometime next year. This integration will scale Project Central to an Enterprise solution vs workgroup/team. We are also doing extensive exploration with other tools, like Microsoft SharePoint Team services. This product adds additional project team collaboration functionality (documents sharing, discussions, calendars, contacts, lists, announcements) and allows us to easily integrate our methods directly into the SharePoint Team Services repository.

to an example, with some screen captures, it shows the integration possibilities with the products discussed above.
