I am a PhD student at Capella University and I am conducting research on how knowledge transfer from one project, and knowledge assimilation by another project, impact project performance. I am specifically interested in this from the perspective of professionals in project management.
As project management continues to grow in importance to organizations, this study has the potential to inform organizational leaders and professionals in project management on ways to capitalize on knowledge across projects and maximize project performance. Do knowledge transfer methods (i.e formal or informal) affect the receipt and assimilation of knowledge to other projects within an organization? What is the impact on project performance?
