Through your career in PM one of the most important skills that required for a project manager is comuunication skills.
To improve this you have to work hard on listening to your stakeholders as well as your team members.
to draw a map for good listening hapit you need to know your organization and build aqueduct with the team members.
this will help you plan your communication managmant .
1-take the advantage of the organization assets for the communication.(if they have social events etcs.)
2-Talk to the High and verimportance Stakeholders in your organization to know the way they would like to be communicated.
3- try to find out the problem solver in your team.

I would say leadership is the counterpoint to communication. After all, you need to be a good communicator to be a good leader. Saving Changes...
This is intresting but not every company has the budget for number 1 "social events etc." however I would say use free communication tools such as WebEx to walk the stakeholder through documents or any project update on a regular basis. This will give them confidence the project is being managed and is on track - if it is not on track you should actually increase the frequency. No.2- "Talk to the High and very important Stakeholders in your organization to know the way they would like to be communicated." I would add to this by saying the Sponsor should be the one to share the communication with his team esp. if he is very senior (even his boss can share the weekly/monthly report).
"3- Try to find out the problem solver in your team" - as long as you know where to find the right information and you are resourceful.... this is the most important thing in my eyes.

Great foundation.
The company I work in has started to do quarterly company events to improve communications and mingling between departments. Prior to being where we are today, we would just all plan random get-togethers at each other's houses or near by parks and grill out. Saving Changes...
