Hello All,

I am interested in gaining further deeper knowledge in one of the project mgmt areas. I think RISK MGMT is better option in this case. But not getting a thread to start. I am looking to get knowledge on all aspects of risk mgmt, like risk models, way to create those model, any data analytic part in that, etc. SO get this full coverage what is the best part to start with. Because, PMI''s risk mgmt gives you theory learning only.

Saurabh,

I think you think about getting certified in PMI-RMP as well.

Thanks Arul for your reply.
I thought that as first option but when I looked at the syllabus and the type of the questions asked, I thought it was more of PMP study material rather than specialized RMP study material.
Still that will be one good choice to go for RMP, but other than that any other way in this area ?

PMI only deals with risk management as it relates to project, program or portfolios. RM, now comonly expanded to ERM for Enterprise Risk Management, is much broader in nature. It deals with hazard, organizational, financial and strategic risks.

There are many courses that introduce you to ERM. Most of them are also useful to pick up RM-related certifications outside of PMI.
